About the role

  • Serve as the in-store expert for Team Sports and execute brand standards
  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide direction to teammates
  • Support hiring by observing in-store interviews and department tours
  • Build a people-first culture and connect with every teammate to build trust and respect
  • Plan, organize, and control 30-days out with guidance from Assistant Store Manager
  • Strategically leverage teammates to meet brand standards and execute programs/processes
  • Uphold merchandising and presentation standards including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment
  • Assist store leadership with general supervision and training/onboarding of teammates
  • Provide hands-on coaching and teach the rationale behind tasks and processes
  • Create an inclusive and safe store environment for teammates and customers
  • Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays
  • Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)
