About the role
- Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers at the Midwest locations.
- Support recruitment efforts for the Midwest operations.
- Provide input on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance across Midwest operations.
- Support employee relations by monitoring workplace dynamics and documenting initial employee concerns for escalation and resolution by management.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Assist in administering leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable policies.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across Midwest locations.
- Contribute to HR initiatives focused on diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), employee engagement, recognition, and wellness.
- Coordinate the distribution and tracking of mandatory employee training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 2-4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-office or professional services environment; recruiting experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of multi-state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with E-Verify and I9 compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms such as Bamboo and iSolve.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
