About the role

  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers at the Midwest locations.
  • Support recruitment efforts for the Midwest operations.
  • Provide input on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance across Midwest operations.
  • Support employee relations by monitoring workplace dynamics and documenting initial employee concerns for escalation and resolution by management.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Assist in administering leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable policies.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across Midwest locations.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives focused on diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), employee engagement, recognition, and wellness.
  • Coordinate the distribution and tracking of mandatory employee training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • 2-4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-office or professional services environment; recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of multi-state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Familiarity with E-Verify and I9 compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms such as Bamboo and iSolve.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
