About the role
- Manage and mentor the General Ledger team, providing leadership and professional development.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely global reporting and oversight of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Oversee the end-to-end AP Process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice and payment processing with proper approvals (including but not limited to 1099 filings).
- Prepare and review periodic financial statement fluctuation (flux) analyses on a month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter basis.
- Contribute to the preparation of disclosures and footnotes for external reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. While also coordinating with external auditors in connection with the annual external audits.
Requirements
- 7+ years of G/L experience, with 3+ years in a management role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, accounting best practices, multi-entry and/or multi-currency enviornment preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities, and experience working in a high-growth or startup enviornment.
- Process automation and system implementation experience with a proficiency in Netsuite and Rippling Spend is preferred.
