About the role
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and backend platforms using Java/Selenium and AccelQ
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to support scalable, reusable, and maintainable test solutions
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA analysts to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Utilize Polarion ALM to manage test cases, ensure traceability to requirements, and support compliance in regulated environments
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Support test data management and environment setup for automated test execution
- Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack or similar cloud-based platforms
- Track and report quality metrics, test coverage, and automation progress to stakeholders
- Participate in agile ceremonies and promote shift-left testing practices
- Assist in performance and load testing using tools like JMeter
- Contribute to mobile automation efforts using tools such as Appium (preferred)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Java/Selenium frameworks (data-driven, hybrid, or keyword-driven)
- Familiarity or experience with AccelQ for codeless automation of web and mobile applications
- Experience with BrowserStack or similar platforms for cloud-based test execution
- Proficiency with Polarion ALM for test management and traceability
- Strong understanding of API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured
- Experience with version control systems such as Bitbucket
- Familiarity with Maven for build management and dependency handling
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bamboo)
- Experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium (preferred)
- Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter
- Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences (preferred)
- Exposure to Salesforce Classic and Lightning platforms (preferred)
- Exposure to AI-enhanced testing tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl) is a plus
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with global/distributed teams
- Must be able to work on-site at least three days per week (hybrid)
