QA Automation Engineer

• Conceptualize Automated/semi-automated assembly processes for different type of product
• Estimate investment cost in different scenarios based on location/manufacturing volume/customer requirements/etc., including direct/indirect labor requirements
• Create URS (User Requirement and Specifications) for automated assembly processes
• Create automation solutions concept that meet Celestica’s universal and site specific automation goals through the use of 2D CAD tools
• Apply lean concepts as part of the methodology of the automation design solutions
• Analyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e. CE or customer specific)
• Interface with customers, suppliers and internal teams to provide site specific automation needs
• Evaluate suppliers and understand capability and maturity for different processes
• Manage suppliers on the deliverables through the design, development and deployment of automated solutions
• Responsible for communicating progress on project tasks
• Formalize and update drawing documentation
• Support automation projects in all phases of the Project Life Cycle
• Collaborate with various automation peers to deliver innovative automation solutions to customers
