About the role
- Establish and maintain respectful, long-term relationships with Indigenous leaders, communities, and partner organizations across Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
- Represent Dexterra at community events, industry meetings, and strategic gatherings.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, legal, and other teams to support proposals, bids, and business development initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Indigenous engagement strategies and initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, coordinate agreements, and ensure compliance with legal and financial obligations.
- Support training for Indigenous awareness and contribute to our PAIR certification efforts with the CCIB.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and French required.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in Indigenous community relations, business development, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, realities, and protocols.
- Indigenous candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience in Indigenous studies, social sciences, communications, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Solid skills in contract drafting and management, negotiations, financial reporting, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong commitment to quality and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently (40–50%) across Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
