About the role
- Serve as liaison between IT Core Services and Facilities to lead AV system design standards, installations, and support across global locations
- Define and document Engineering Standards and Architecture for AV including data and power provision and cabling, AV room design and materials of construction for acoustics
- Develop AV designs for new offices and existing office upgrades in collaboration with Facilities and global AV vendor
- Provide high priority troubleshooting/break-fix/setup/event support to high profile San Diego locations and events
- Monitor AV vendor performance against SLA and manage escalations and communications
- Be a key stakeholder for new AV buildouts: attend planning meetings and manage AV project components to meet milestones
- Establish regional incidental budget for AV support outside vendor contract obligations
- Travel to global locations/offices for project management, installation, and maintenance as required
- Manage on-site and remote AV teams effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in AV systems design, integration, and support
- Demonstrated leadership of internal and external AV engineers
- Expertise in AV technologies, including video conferencing systems (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), sound systems, projectors, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron)
- Strong background in AV integration with IT networks, including IP-based AV solutions
- Proven experience managing AV projects, including budgeting and vendor management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Preferred: Certifications: CTS, CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, CEDIA
- Preferred: Experience managing AV systems in large corporate or multi-facility environments
- Preferred: Knowledge of cloud-based AV solutions and remote management tools
- Preferred: Digital signage Application Administration (Appspace)
- Ability to travel 15-25%
