About the role
- Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President of Finance, the Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the payroll functions.
- Ensure pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
- Hire and train Payroll Specialist(s).
- Oversee the daily workflow of the payroll team.
- Monitor payroll team performance, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance to verify employee data and accounts.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of full-time paid professional experience performing payroll functions for an organization of at least 250+ employees.
- Experience with payroll software (ADP preferred).
- A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
