Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet
Ensures exceptional customer service through personal contact with customers, associate training, resolution of customer complaints, and delivery of services
Collaborates with Destination Pet Support Staff (Operations, HR, Marketing, Facilities, Legal, etc.)
Ensures cohesiveness of pet care services and cross training
Recruits, hires, motivates, trains, promotes, counsels, and terminates center staff when necessary
Oversees staff scheduling to provide outstanding service while managing to a set budget
Manages center payroll and ensures timely payroll approval
Works with HR to ensure compliance with federal and local labor laws (OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices)
Conducts safety training and enforces safe-handling rules
Prepares and delivers annual performance reviews
Monitors and responds to pet guests' needs to ensure safety, security, and comfort
Resolves customer and staff complaints
Manages center’s social media accounts with weekly postings and replies
Creates and executes local marketing programs and attends community events
Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders and restocks as necessary
Monitors and manages all center computer systems and addresses maintenance needs
Utilizes financial reports and statistics; responsible for cash management and bank deposits
Promotes Destination Pet programs and assists other team members as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
BS/BA is a plus
Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator
Strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management
Five plus years in full P&L management responsibility preferably in hospitality, service and/or retail environments
Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and the general public
Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
Ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines
Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills
