About the role
- Manage strategic engagement with ministries, regulatory agencies, legislators and public bodies
- Represent Decolar before local, national and regional authorities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key public-sector stakeholders
- Participate in sectoral dialogue tables, forums and regulatory working groups
- Continuously monitor bills, regulations and normative changes that impact the business
- Analyze the impact of regulatory initiatives on commercial and technological operations
- Translate complex regulatory information into risks, opportunities and strategic recommendations for management
- Prepare executive reports with scenario analysis and action plans
- Design and implement institutional positioning and advocacy strategies within the legal framework
- Build technical, economic and business arguments to influence relevant public policies
- Develop public policy proposals aligned with industry and company interests
- Coordinate coalitions with industry chambers, associations and other ecosystem actors
- Work collaboratively with Legal, Compliance, Public Policy, Communications and business leaders
- Ensure that regulatory strategy is aligned with commercial objectives and the company vision
- Act as a bridge between the political-regulatory landscape and business needs
- Train internal teams on key regulatory topics
- Support management of high-impact political, regulatory or media situations
- Anticipate critical scenarios and prepare contingency plans
- Coordinate institutional responses to regulatory conflicts, sanctions or public debates
- Serve as a strategic advisor on politically sensitive issues
- Report regularly to the Legal Director on progress, risks and regulatory opportunities
- Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder map and regulatory agenda
- Document interactions with authorities in accordance with compliance and transparency policies
Requirements
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in Government Affairs, Public Policy, Institutional Relations or related areas
- Proven experience managing relationships with governments and regulators (preferably in technology, e-commerce, travel or other regulated sectors)
- Deep knowledge of Brazil’s political and regulatory ecosystem
- Experience in advocacy strategies and institutional positioning
- Ability to analyze complex legislation, regulations and public policies
- Proficiency in ethical lobbying and advocacy techniques
- Knowledge of legislative and administrative processes
- Familiarity with regulatory monitoring tools (desirable)
- Strategic vision with the ability to anticipate scenarios
- Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills
- Effective oral and written communication for diverse audiences (technical teams, executives, authorities)
- Political judgment and sensitivity to navigate complex environments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Integrity, ethics and commitment to compliance
- Advanced English (required)
