About the role
- Independently carry a case load of litigation files, from start to finish, involving the defence of auto claims, accident benefits, bodily injury, commercial lines, property, subrogation, and coverage work.
- Support our insurance defence litigators through hands‑on legal research, drafting key documents, preparing memoranda, and shadowing real litigation proceedings.
- Providing general support across the legal team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law.
- Currently enrolled in accredited program to obtain a law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) from a Canadian University
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Intermediate knowledge in legal research and computer literacy, including use of web-based services
- Intermediate knowledge in civil litigation and advocacy
- Intermediate knowledge in insurance law
