About the role
- Serve as the lead for the VP during regulatory and internal audits, ensuring full compliance, timely documentation, and the continuous strengthening of governance and oversight practices.
- Execute comprehensive risk analyses to identify emerging operational and regulatory risks, and develop clear, actionable mitigation plans that support business continuity and organizational resilience.
- Coordinate quarterly compliance reporting, including the preparation and delivery of License Training updates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory expectations.
- Lead end-to-end risk assessments and validate operational controls in partnership with CECIM, reinforcing the 3 Lines of Defense model and ensuring that controls are designed, implemented, and functioning effectively.
- Collaborate closely with First and Second Lines of Defense to align risk tolerance, validate control effectiveness, and successfully execute the pRCSA process.
- Drive proactive stakeholder engagement across the organization, ensuring alignment on audit responses, risk priorities, and the implementation of operational control enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Expert knowledge in working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Advanced knowledge Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance
- Advanced knowledge of the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN)
- Advanced knowledge of P&C systems, tools and processes
