About the role
- Develop and implement occupational health and safety (OHS) policies.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Monitor and enforce the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and collective protective equipment (CPE).
- Investigate workplace accidents, prepare reports, and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver trainings and educational campaigns on safety, occupational health, and accident prevention.
- Manage and keep safety documentation up to date, such as PPRA, PCMSO, LTCAT, CAT, among others.
- Support the preparation of technical reports and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NRs).
- Conduct safety onboarding for new employees.
- Participate in CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) and SIPAT (Internal Week for Accident Prevention).
- Assist in fire prevention activities, including extinguisher control/maintenance and evacuation drills.
- Support inspections and audits by competent authorities (e.g., Ministry of Labor).
- Produce OHS reports and indicators, proposing continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Occupational Safety (Occupational Safety Technician diploma).
- Previous experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including email, spreadsheets, and report writing.
- Experience in industrial operations is a plus.
