About the role

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery within nuclear and highly regulated environments
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Use Primavera P6 to create, maintain, and monitor project schedules and critical paths
  • Administer and manage projects under NEC contracts (e.g., NEC3/NEC4), including early warnings, compensation events, and programme submissions
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures
  • Proactively manage project risks, issues, and change control processes
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, safety, quality, and commercial stakeholders
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships
  • Track and report project performance using KPIs and earned value techniques
  • Ensure all deliverables meet technical, safety, and quality expectations
  • Support bid and proposal development where required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4), including commercial administration
  • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 for project planning and controls
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMI)
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety culture and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP) preferred
  • Formal training or certification in NEC contract management (desirable)
  • Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain) may be required
