About the role

  • Responsible for general ledger and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closes.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reconcile and cleanup GL accounts
  • Maintain financial integrity across entities, consolidating and working with business units
  • Support Quarter ending physical inventory counts and related reconciliations.
  • Support Group Controller and CFO on Ad Hoc projects
  • Track Daily AP and AR operations for both Group and Branches
  • Assist with annual audit and tax filings by coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, including sales tax reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance team on budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience to include industry and public accounting experience desired (preferably in construction)
  • CPA designation or currently eligible to sit for the CPA exam strongly preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Strong proficiency in MS Business Central and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) reporting is strongly preferred
  • Previous external audit experience preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and reconciliation skills required
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Self-starter, independent worker desired who works well in a very team-oriented environment
