About the role
- Assist with operational tasks related to patient intake and scheduling.
- Answer phone calls, prioritize messages, and manage the telephone system.
- Make patient reminder calls before appointments and document outcomes.
- Check in patients and update demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance coverage and inform patients about eligibility for the sliding fee scale program.
- Prepare new patient packets and ensure intake assessment completion.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude while managing front desk operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Medical records and medical scheduling experience (preferred)
