About the role

  • Assist with operational tasks related to patient intake and scheduling.
  • Answer phone calls, prioritize messages, and manage the telephone system.
  • Make patient reminder calls before appointments and document outcomes.
  • Check in patients and update demographic and insurance information.
  • Verify insurance coverage and inform patients about eligibility for the sliding fee scale program.
  • Prepare new patient packets and ensure intake assessment completion.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional attitude while managing front desk operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Medical records and medical scheduling experience (preferred)
