About the role
- Help save lives and prevent serious injuries through expert consulting and organizational change
- Lead initiatives to improve Health and Safety performance
- Identify safety consulting opportunities and design solutions for clients
- Provide guidance on Health and Safety regulations and best practices
- Assess, audit, inspect client systems and operations and offer corrective actions or improvements
- Prepare and deliver reports of findings and recommendations to client safety teams
- Advise clients on best practices and tools for continuous improvement in safety
- Support marketing efforts through proposal creation and content development
- Represent DEKRA at conferences and events
- Contribute to AI-enabled consulting approaches to enhance EHS program effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS or a technical discipline
- 10+ years of EHS experience in consulting, industry, or regulatory settings with demonstrated program leadership
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus
- Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated client relationship management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, across all organizational levels
- Experience with organizational improvement initiatives (e.g., safety, quality)
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as a team player, and within client team as a contributing expert
- Experience with organizational initiatives in safety, quality methods or other organizational change processes/initiatives
- Excellent workshop facilitation, training, and presentation skills
- Experience managing large, complex projects
