About the role
- Help save lives, prevent serious injuries, protect environmental resources, and strengthen client safety cultures by driving organizational change
- Lead initiatives to improve Health and Safety performance through expert consulting and by developing services that meet evolving client needs
- Identify safety consulting opportunities, design solutions, and support clients in achieving safety compliance and excellence
- Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of DEKRA’s proprietary Safety products and service
- Serve as a subject matter expert in an array of Health and Safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients using DEKRA’s Safety solutions and in support of DEKRA EHS systems
- Assess, audit, inspect client systems and operations and offer corrective actions or improvements, where indicated
- Prepare and deliver reports of findings, recommendations, etc., to client safety and leadership teams
- Support marketing efforts through the creation of proposals, brochures, web content, and cost estimates
- Represent DEKRA at conferences and events through thought leadership and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS or a technical discipline
- 10+ years of EHS experience in consulting, industry, or regulatory settings with demonstrated program leadership
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus
- Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated client relationship management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, across all organizational levels
- Experience with organizational improvement initiatives (e.g., safety, quality)
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects
