- Drive client success by staffing projects with the right mix of skills, seniority, and availability while maintaining healthy utilization and avoiding burnout.
- Build and continuously improve a disciplined sales and operations planning (S&OP) and workforce planning process that provides clear, reliable forward views of demand, capacity, and risks.
- Own regional consulting capacity planning, using sales pipeline, backlog, and financial data to forecast demand across 20+ active and upcoming projects.
- Lead the recurring S&OP / resource review cadence with practice leaders to reconcile demand, capacity, and priorities, including scenario and what‑if analysis.
- Recommend hiring, contracting, and backfill decisions based on utilization, skill gaps, and strategic growth plans.
- Respond to staffing requests from business development leaders and project sponsors, ensuring needs are clearly defined and actionable before assignment.
- Allocate full‑time, part‑time, and contract consultants to projects, balancing senior/junior mix, travel, and billable vs. non‑billable time to meet utilization and margin targets.
- Ensure major projects (including those >1M) are staffed with qualified personnel in key roles prior to or immediately following approval, escalating gaps or conflicts as needed.
- Monitor portfolio‑level risks related to capacity, skills, travel load, and project overlaps; escalate issues and partner with Consulting Operations on mitigation strategies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes for staffing, forecasting, and early risk identification, with a focus on simplicity, speed, and data‑driven decisions.
- Leverage and help evolve tooling (e.g., resource management systems, Power BI dashboards) to provide clear visibility to leaders and project managers.
- Partner with the leader responsible for consultant development to align staffing decisions with individual development plans and career paths.
- Provide utilization, exposure, and skill‑mix insights to support promotion, hiring, and training decisions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, using data and judgment to influence trade‑offs between revenue, utilization, travel, and work‑life balance.
- Prepare, review, and edit professional and confidential materials including presentations, reports, resourcing analyses, and executive briefing documents.
- Coordinate and distribute key communications on behalf of the leadership team; support scheduling and logistics for critical internal and client meetings.
- Manage special projects from initiation through completion as assigned, maintaining a strong focus on outcomes and stakeholder alignment.
