About the role

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Process and enter vendor invoices in Coupa, ensuring accuracy, appropriate coding, required approvals, and compliance with company policies
  • Prepare and support the execution of vendor payment batches, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Collaborate with Procurement and business partners to support purchase order creation, updates, and invoice-to-PO matching within Coupa
  • Assist with monitoring and resolving invoice discrepancies, unmatched invoices, and approval workflow issues
  • Support vendor onboarding and purchasing-related administrative processes, as needed
  • Help maintain strong internal controls over procure-to-pay activities and ensure proper supporting documentation is retained. Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation
  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements through Concur
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities
  • Support quarterly and annual financial audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Assist with preparation and documentation for SOX 404(b) compliance, including internal control testing and audit support
  • Prepare and file annual 1099 reports
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience within the life science industry preferred
  • Previous experience with accounting in a publicly traded company required
  • Significant Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience, 404b experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Coupa and NetSuite preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to present numeric data effectively
  • Exceptional listening, observational and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time-management abilities and strong follow-through skills required
  • Experience managing confidential information
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment handling a wide range of tasks with little supervision or oversight required
  • Professional, team-oriented, collaborative, and “can-do” attitude
  • Intermediate-to-advanced computer and MS Office skills (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint); Experience with conference equipment/platforms
