About the role
- Lead all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop clear project goals, objectives, and deliverables that align with the overall business strategy.
- Coordinate resources, including team members and external vendors, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, implementing strategies to minimize impacts on timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure accurate project documentation, including project plans, timelines, budgets, and reports.
- Continuously evaluate project performance, tracking key metrics and reporting on progress.
- Drive best practices in project management methodologies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Mentor and support junior project managers and team members to foster professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project and program management in an IT environment.
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
- Relevant project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Experience with software development projects and familiarity with emerging technologies is a plus.
