About the role
- Lead the organization's technology strategy and procurement functions
- Oversee development and implementation of innovative IT solutions
- Manage vendor relationships and optimize procurement processes
- Oversee selection, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems, and software
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal standards, and cybersecurity requirements
- Manage budgets for IT and procurement
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across IT and procurement departments
- Assess and mitigate risks related to IT security and supply chain disruptions
- Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and market trends
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology and procurement needs
- Travel up to 15%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in IT leadership and procurement management
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills
- Extensive knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and infrastructure
- Experience with strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and procurement processes
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop strategic solutions
- PMP, CIPS, CISSP, or relevant IT and procurement certifications preferred
