About the role
- Guide stakeholders on banking law, regulatory compliance, payments, lending, and consumer protection
- Shape and refine contractual frameworks, from term sheets to full agreements
- Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of commercial and regulatory contracts
- Deliver clear, actionable legal opinions to support business decisions
- Coordinate and manage external counsel to ensure efficient, high-quality advice
- Oversee the end-to-end contract management process to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
- Fully qualified German lawyer (First and Second State Examinations)
- 2+ years’ post-qualification experience in banking, finance, or capital markets law (in-house or law firm)
- Sharp analytical thinking with the ability to simplify complex regulation
- Commercially minded - able to balance compliance with business goals
- Skilled at building trust with senior stakeholders
- Collaborative, solutions-driven mindset with an agile approach to work
