About the role
- Engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives
- Design and implement tailored technical solutions using Deel's and partner Accounting and HCMs' APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Backend/Frontend Engineers to deliver customer-specific and scalable product improvements
- Contribute to product planning by feeding real-world customer use cases back into the roadmap
- Build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability at "Deel speed"
- Provide exceptional technical support during onboarding, implementation, and post-sale expansion
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping enterprise customers unlock the full power of Deel
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders and external clients
- Experience delivering client-facing solutions, whether in implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles
- 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer, ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms
- Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with deep understanding of software engineering best practices
- Strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL — including query optimization, migrations, and modeling
- Hands-on API development experience, validation, and performance tuning
- Ability to build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability
- English fluency (ability to speak, read, and write English fluently)
