About the role

  • Be a part of a truly cross-functional team
  • Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment
  • Collaborate to develop robust new features and APIs
  • Ensure customers receive a white-glove experience with our products
  • Support Deel engineering growth and build a platform for product teams
  • Enforce standards and best practices, create tooling, maintain internal libraries
  • Provide architectural guidance and own high-loaded core services
  • Respond to production incidents when needed
  • Operate at the edge between DevOps and engineering (approx. 70% Engineering, 30% DevOps)

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in engineering
  • Strong node.js knowledge
  • AWS or similar cloud experience
  • Kubernetes, Helm and Docker knowledge
  • Experience with Postgres/Mysql, RabbitMq/Nats/Kafka
  • Strong system design and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (ability to orchestrate projects with 20+ teams)
  • Hands-on troubleshooter
  • Ready for challenges
  • Experience building internal tooling (npm packages, frameworks) — nice to have
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
