About the role

  • We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer / Agent Orchestrator to lead the development of cutting-edge solutions focused on the data journey. In this role, you will be responsible for the platform where modeling, adaptation, and testing of specialized agent prompts and data pipelines take place.
  • Implement and manage the lifecycle of AI/LLM solutions in production environments, covering chatbots and agent systems as well as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
  • Design data flows and embeddings, ensuring high performance of vector stores through strategic indexing, optimization, and re-ranking techniques.
  • Establish governance and observability systems, actively monitoring response quality, latency, operational costs, and the effectiveness of evaluation metrics.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Work closely with Product, Security, and Data teams to ensure AI solutions comply with LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and deliver direct business impact.
  • Define architectural standards and best-practice guidelines for the use of Generative AI in collaboration with the Corporate Architecture team.
  • Build the technical ecosystem that supports AI by developing robust APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Design multi-agent system architectures, ensuring fluid and efficient interaction between specialized agents across the user experience.
  • Develop custom AI agents, establishing specific roles, integrated tools, and logical flows for each stage of the e-commerce funnel.
  • Refine prompt engineering and safety policies, creating guardrails that preserve brand voice and the integrity of interactions.
  • Monitor the technical and financial performance of solutions, operationalizing quality tests and metrics to control latency and token consumption.
  • Harden solutions against vulnerabilities by applying privacy protocols, ensuring LGPD compliance, and implementing defenses against prompt injection attacks.
  • Standardize agent engineering by documenting technical contracts, prompt templates, and operational guidelines to support team scalability.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python, automated testing, and software development best practices.
  • Knowledge of NLP and generative AI (transformers, embeddings, LLMs).
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • LLMs
  • Chatbots and agents (LangChain, LlamaIndex or SDKs)
  • RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and evaluation
  • Practical experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — deep expertise in at least two providers is required.
  • Familiarity with:
  • IaC (Terraform)
  • CI/CD
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Observability, performance tuning, and cost optimization
  • Security (IAM, secrets management, WAF, rate limiting)
  • Experience in data engineering (ETL/ELT), vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, pgvector), and search engines (OpenSearch, ACS).
  • Strong knowledge of REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.
  • Experience with fine-tuning / PEFT (LoRA, QLoRA).
  • Advanced experience with Vertex AI, SageMaker, or Azure OpenAI.
  • Familiarity with LGPD, model governance, and AI red teaming.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
  • Experience with large-scale software architecture and microservices.
