About the role
- Own and advance our AIMS aligned to the EU AI Act
- Run AI ethics, compliance workflows, and governance with delivery in mind
- Coordinate governance across teams to meet business goals
- Scale lightweight, practical governance as AI usage grows internally and across our products
- Partner with product and tech leads to govern AI releases
- Apply EU AI Act risk assessments and classifications
- Enable teams through clear checkpoints and simple AI frameworks
- Align cross-functional work for compliant, on-time AI rollouts
- Manage compliance programs and support leadership in regulator interactions
- Work with Data Protection on AI-specific requirements
- Keep crisp documentation and audit trails
- Steer AI ethics reviews and responsible AI practices
- Monitor what’s working and streamline what isn’t
- Sync research, development, and productionization activities across teams
- Own reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement
- Drive timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder updates
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing / delivering AI governance, risk management, or compliance in a regulated industry (healthcare preferred, but finance, fintech, or other highly regulated sectors also relevant)
- Strong understanding of the EU AI Act, AI risk frameworks, bias, and ethics in AI
- AI Program management experience with the ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders across technical, compliance, and regulatory teams
- Comfortable being hands-on: not just setting AI strategy but implementing and owning AI processes directly
- Exposure to information security, data privacy, or regulatory compliance is a strong plus
- Experience working with AI models, data governance, and productionizing AI tools
- A track record of simplifying complexity, creating lightweight AI processes that balance compliance and agility
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse technical and non-technical teams
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
