About the role

  • Support American sales team with technical advice and join customer meetings to generate new business and grow DCL market share in North America.
  • Secure and grow the pigment business by providing technical support to sales and setting up customer-specific product specifications with QC and Product Manager.
  • Manage batch/CoA selection and communication with Sales on technical issues, batch selection, PSS availability and technical advice.
  • Train Distributors, Agents, sales team and customers on global pigment products and innovations online and face-to-face.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Regulatory, Purchasing, Product Management) to deliver optimized service.
  • Create customized technical and marketing presentations in consultation with Global Head of Innovation & Marketing.
  • Develop and implement strategies with Sales and Global Head of Innovation & Marketing to achieve sales goals and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Provide technical information and support to Marketing for new sales and marketing tools.
  • Analyze technical customer requirements and provide customer-specific solutions and formulation guidance across DCL product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with customer decision-makers to address technical inquiries, showcase innovations, and offer solutions.
  • Monitor and report customer trends to Global R&D/Innovation and Marketing Team to support product development.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences as needed.
  • Handle complaints and transfer technical issues to labs/plants and responsible internal contacts.
  • Study new market trends and set up penetration plans with Global Head of Innovation & Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor´s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or similar area of study.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical lab or support experience in pigments, coatings or plastics.
  • Deep understanding of pigment’s chemistry and customers technical requirements.
  • Self-motivational, organizational, problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and locations to grow business and improve profitability.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation, including emergency response and ISO 9001 and 14001 quality systems.
  • Advanced technical aptitude and understanding customer application processes and technology.
  • Traveling between different sites as requested is required.
