About the role

  • Develop innovative design solutions to client's briefs with input from strategic design partners, project design teams and subcontractors utilising a standardised approach wherever possible
  • Develop relationships with clients during early concept stages; manage expectations of the individual projects through regular communication and discussions regarding requirements and specifications
  • Periodically, specific projects will emerge requiring the input of the Graduate Design Engineer. These may include, but shall not limited to, areas such as the following Combined Heat & Power (Nat gas, LPG & Biomass fuelled) – Investigate business case, identify incentives available, evaluate suppliers and make recommendations
  • Develop knowledge of LPG and LNG gas plants. Keep up to date with all relevant standards, regulations and codes of practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Competent user of MS packages including: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Ability to communicate with a range of people at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • AutoCAD would be desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to plan, organise and project manage
  • Ability to write detailed and organise technical documentation such reports and standard procedures etc.
  • Basic experience of using CAD software at university level.
