About the role
- The PO/Project Lead for the BI/DW demand portfolio will be responsible for organizing, prioritizing, tracking, and ensuring the efficient execution of requests submitted to the Data Analytics teams (Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse) from all areas of our client.
- Act as a facilitator between technical Data teams and business areas, promoting demand governance, predictability, and continuous improvement of maintenance and operations processes.
- Operate and maintain the intake process for demands within the BI/DW management.
- Organize and maintain transparency of the overall backlog.
- Support prioritization decisions with management, directors, and stakeholders.
- Consolidate and update the portfolio of demands, projects, and improvements.
- Prepare executive reports, metrics, and KPIs.
- Monitor risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
- Mediate between business areas and BI, Data Engineering, and DW teams.
- Understand technical impacts, estimates, and complexity.
- Support impediment removal and ensure smooth delivery flow.
- Serve as the focal point between BI/DW and requesting areas.
- Ensure clear and objective communication, mediating and aligning expectations.
- Apply agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and hybrid management (agile + waterfall + portfolio).
- Use tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and similar platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Certifications that will be valued: PSPO, PSM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP.
- Data modeling for Data Warehouse.
- Architecture and operation of enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Data integration and transformation processes.
- OLAP concepts.
- Dimension, measure, and aggregation structures.
- Use of analytics platforms based on cubes.
- SQL Server: data modeling and SQL queries.
- SSIS: ETL/ELT processes.
- SSAS: Tabular and Multidimensional models.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA is desirable.
