About the role

  • Lead strategic planning and execution across technology deployment, endpoint engineering, IT asset management (HAM & SAM), ITSM processes, and tooling—including full ownership of Jira Service Management workflows, configuration, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Oversee the design, development, and optimization of desktop engineering solutions, including OS imaging, configuration management, endpoint security posture, automation capabilities, and enterprise deployment standards.
  • Own the enterprise ITAM program, ensuring full lifecycle governance for hardware and software assets, accuracy of asset records, compliance with licensing agreements, and alignment with audit, security, and procurement requirements.
  • Partner with the ITAM vendor to ensure high-quality delivery, compliance adherence, data accuracy, and continuous process improvement across asset lifecycle management workflows.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for endpoint deployment challenges, tooling issues, and asset management discrepancies, coordinating cross-functional resolution efforts and driving systemic remediation.
  • Establish and refine ITSM processes—including incident, request, change, problem, knowledge, and configuration management—ensuring efficiency, cross-team adoption, and alignment with best practices.
  • Develop, document, and maintain SOPs, engineering standards, deployment playbooks, and operational workflows to ensure consistency, predictability, and scalability across all technical deployment and support functions.
  • Drive enterprise rollout of new endpoint technologies, software packages, and productivity tools, including planning, communication, change management, testing frameworks, and success measurement.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure end-to-end alignment across deployment programs, asset lifecycle governance, configuration standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee vendor performance related to endpoint engineering, ITAM services, deployment support, and tooling platforms, including SLA governance, contract considerations, and operational reviews.
  • Lead major technical initiatives such as OS upgrades, security hardening programs, tooling migrations, directory modernization, and automation-driven efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor deployment metrics, asset data health, software utilization trends, configuration drift, and platform performance to identify improvement opportunities and implement durable solutions.
  • Guide the strategic evolution of ITSM tooling, including workflow automation, integration expansion, reporting maturity, and self-service capability development.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team responsible for engineering, deployment, process governance, and tooling administration, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Manage budget planning, resource forecasting, tooling investments, and vendor costs to ensure responsible financial oversight and prioritization of impactful initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, IT asset management, ITSM process development, or enterprise technology deployment.
  • 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary technical teams, including engineering, asset management, or ITSM platform ownership.
  • Strong expertise in ITAM principles (both HAM and SAM), asset lifecycle governance, software licensing, audit readiness, procurement alignment, and inventory accuracy.
  • Deep experience administering, optimizing, and governing ITSM platforms—preferably Jira Service Management—including workflow design, automation, integrations, data models, and service catalog development.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint engineering technologies (Intune, Jamf/Mosyle, SCCM, MDM/UEM platforms), OS lifecycle management, and automated deployment processes.
  • Proven ability to lead major enterprise technology implementations, cross-functional deployment programs, and tooling standardization efforts.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance frameworks, device hardening, application governance, and change control.
  • Vendor management experience, including oversight of ITAM service providers, tooling vendors, deployment partners, and engineering service contracts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executives, technical teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to interpret asset data, system telemetry, and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities, with a track record of delivering high-impact programs in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including coaching, development, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to build strong, resilient technical organizations.
