About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, partnership deals, vendor contracts, and NDAs
- Lead and evolve privacy and data protection compliance efforts (CCPA, GDPR, and other emerging frameworks)
- Support cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Success, Finance) with legal guidance on a day-to-day basis
- Advise business stakeholders on legal risks, rights, and obligations related to commercial relationships, strategic initiatives, and corporate matters
- Stay on top of regulatory developments in fintech, SaaS, and data privacy, translating complex requirements into clear business guidance
- Support and strengthen internal policies, training, and best practices on legal and ethical standards
- Conducting comprehensive vendor assessments and due diligence to evaluate security posture and compliance
- Completing detailed security questionnaires to verify vendor adherence to security standards and policies
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal experience from a SaaS company
- Deep knowledge and practical experience in U.S. and global data privacy laws and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, DPA)
- Good knowledge and vast experience working in the field of privacy, confidentiality, and data protection
- Proven track record in negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements
- Strong business judgment, with the ability to balance legal risk and business priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
