About the role
- Datarails is the financial planning and analysis platform that automates data consolidation, reporting and planning while enabling finance teams to continue using their own Excel spreadsheets and financial models.
- Engage in deep dives with CFOs and finance teams to understand FP&A business requirements and customize their Datarails experience.
- Conduct product demos and deep dives, understand pain points, and identify complementary solutions.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) with internal teams to showcase Datarails' capabilities and value.
- Partner with sales team to evaluate and assist in sales strategies and provide solution recommendations.
- Leverage understanding of competitive products and technologies to position Datarails effectively.
- Assist in development of proposals and responses to RFI and RFP documents.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, FP&A, or relevant sales engineering roles in the finance industry.
- Strong grasp of financial applications, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, month-end close, financial reporting, and consolidation platforms + intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to gather and understand potential customers' requirements, using a consultative approach to effectively demonstrate how Datarails meets their needs.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and clearly.
- Strong business acumen, collaborative skill set, and a team-oriented everyone-wins attitude.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across multiple industries such as manufacturing, services, banking, insurance, etc., a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business/Finance, a plus.
