About the role
- Provide accurate and timely interpretation services in real time between Nepali and English during calls or meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interpreting sensitive information.
- Exhibit cultural awareness and sensitivity to ensure respectful communication.
- Stay informed on relevant terminology to enhance the quality of interpretations.
- Adhere to ethical standards and best practices for interpreters in all interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to keep skills sharp and knowledge current.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Nepali and English, with excellent command of both written and spoken language.
- Previous experience in interpretation or a related field preferred.
- Strong listening and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Cultural competence and ability to navigate diverse client backgrounds.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.
