About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain custom integrations and Workday solutions across the HR technology ecosystem
- Connect Workday with payroll providers, equity administration platforms, and other enterprise systems using Workday-native tools and iPaaS solutions such as Workato
- Be the main point of contact for Workday integrations and downstream systems
- Monitor integration landscape to ensure systems are running correctly
- Build new integrations and enhance existing ones from design to testing to launch
- Architect secure, automated, and easy-to-monitor workflows
- Translate complex technical ideas into clear, simple processes for stakeholders
- Partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, IT, and others to deliver secure, scalable, and automated solutions
- Provide Tier 2 support in the ticketing system with a customer-first mindset
- Lead cross-functional projects and assist with systems-related inquiries and enhancements
- Pitch in on other areas of Workday when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years working with Workday HCM (business processes, reporting, security, integrations)
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday Studio experience
- Solid track record building custom integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday APIs
- Experience with iPaaS solutions (ideally Workato)
- Experienced in connecting Workday with payroll providers and equity administration platforms
- Proficient in XML, XSLT, REST, SOAP, JSON, and related integration technologies
- Comfortable with HR, payroll, and equity processes
- Known for problem-solving, attention to detail, and juggling multiple priorities
- Strong with custom reports, calculated fields, and EIBs
- Experienced in a global environment
- Exposure to other Workday modules (bonus)
- Experience with platforms like Shareworks (or similar equity tools) (bonus)
- Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2) (bonus)
- Worked with other iPaaS tools beyond Workato (bonus)
- Workday certifications (bonus)
- Experience with Greenhouse ATS (bonus)
- Curiosity about GenAI applications and agent development (bonus)
