About the role
- Planning, setup, configuration, optimization and operation of IT environments
- Supporting customers in IT operations as well as carrying out independent projects
- Maintenance of applications and ensuring uninterrupted operation
- Installation and configuration of server and client systems in Microsoft environments
- Creating, configuring and implementing scripts and applications
- Performing system maintenance and installing updates
- Planning, implementation and troubleshooting of networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
- Implementing and maintaining security solutions (firewall systems, APT, antivirus)
- Operating, customizing, further developing and optimizing the IT infrastructure (Microsoft, Citrix, Dell, WatchGuard, Altaro, LANCOM, Veeam, DataCore, and many more)
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration and/or a degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification with practical experience
- Proven experience in the administration and troubleshooting of complex IT environments, including server systems, networks and security solutions
- Knowledge of administering and configuring Active Directory, Exchange Servers, SQL, M365 and VMware
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems
- Knowledge of network infrastructures, terminal services, firewalls and backup systems
- Experience in an IT service provider / system house environment is desirable
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with customers
- Self-motivation, strong willingness to learn and commitment
- Friendly and professional appearance
- Valid driver's license (Class B)
