About the role
- Work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
- Inspect and service Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Lift containers (up to 50 lbs) and push/pull carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Maintain inventory of containers and ensure all areas are stocked and organized.
- Use a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
- Keep staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
- Represent Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; overtime opportunities as needed.
- Travel to serve hospitals in Dubuque, Waterloo, and Cedar Rapids, IA.
Requirements
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and active, on-the-go work.
- Ability to lift containers (up to 50 lbs) and push/pull carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail—especially with paperwork and procedures.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel throughout Illinois.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role preferred.
- COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access.
- MUST be able to work in: Dubuque, Waterloo, and Cedar Rapids, IA.
