About the role
- Work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
- Inspect and service Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Lift containers (up to 50 lbs) and push/pull carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Maintain inventory of containers and ensure all areas are stocked and organized.
- Use a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
- Keep staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
- Represent Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
- Travel and provide services across specified cities (Sioux City, Fort Dodge, Des Moines, Grinnell).
Requirements
- MUST be able to work in: Sioux City, Fort Dodge, Des Moines, and Grinnell IA during the week.
- Physically fit; comfortable with heavy lifting and active, on-the-go work.
- Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel throughout Illinois.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role preferred.
- COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access.
