• Prepare detailed construction shop drawings for geothermal system installations, including piping layouts, borehole configurations, and equipment placement.
• Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for each project, optimizing for cost, availability, and performance.
• Perform AutoCAD drafting and modeling to create precise 2D/3D designs of ground loops, manifolds, and system integrations, and manage CAD file template structure.
• Complete head loss calculations for ground loop circuits to ensure proper flow rates, pump sizing, and overall system efficiency.
• Design ground loop heat exchangers, including sizing boreholes, determining loop lengths, selecting pipe materials, and incorporating site-specific soil and thermal data.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to refine designs based on site surveys, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete site visits for quality checks at various stages of installation with internal crews and external partners.
• Review and iterate designs to minimize installation challenges and maximize system longevity and performance.
• Stay current with industry standards (e.g., IGSHPA, ASHRAE) and contribute to internal tools and process improvements.

• Ensure builder teams have the training, resources, and collateral needed to confidently educate homebuyers about geothermal systems.

• Plan and execute local activations that generate awareness, excitement, and demand for geothermal-powered homes.
• Support field marketing strategy for the new-construction vertical across the Eastern U.S.
• Create, localize, and manage execution of brochures, point-of-sale materials, signage, digital assets, and presentations tailored to builders and homebuyers.
• Serve as the “voice of the homebuyer” and builder partner, gathering real-world insights from the field.

Mechanical Engineer

• Design, build, and own the testing processes that underpin product development efforts.
• Build, develop, implement, and analyze data from automated test stands using Python.
• Construct physical test setups in the lab and in the field.
• Conduct field testing and oversee pilot installations of new technologies.
• Support efforts to model complex geothermal systems and use field test data for validation.
• Interface with manufacturing partners to deliver next-generation geothermal systems.
• Ensure new designs are optimized for mass-market production.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Own core monthly and quarterly reporting, including variance analysis, trend identification, and generating actionable insights for leadership
• Build and maintain financial models to support long-term planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions
• Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting process in partnership with department leaders
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs to help drive accountability and business performance
• Maintain and continuously improve the company’s 13-week cash forecast to ensure clear liquidity visibility
• Consolidate financial and operational data across multiple systems to create reliable, self-serve reporting
• Improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of reporting workflows as the company grows

FP&A Lead

Controller

• Lead completion of our current audit cycle and establish an efficient, audit-ready cadence
• Implement a durable revenue recognition policy and WIP accounting framework aligned with ASC 606 and operational realities
• Conduct a thorough review of the month-end close process and reconciliations to identify gaps and establish a scalable close discipline
• Identify key financial control and project margin risk areas and implement preventative controls
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely GAAP financial statements (including detailed gross margin, COGS, and project profitability analysis)
• Oversee all core accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll accounting, and general ledger activities
• Maintain GAAP compliance and robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and ongoing audit readiness
• Draft and maintain accounting memos to support technical positions, particularly regarding revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Manage the end-to-end execution of our annual Big Four audit and serve as the relationship owner for external audit and tax firms
• Own gross margin integrity across projects, including job cost accounting, labor and overhead allocation, WIP valuation, and root-cause analysis of margin variance
• Oversee stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718) and equity-related compliance
• Oversee billing accuracy, collections cadence, retainage tracking, and cash conversion across enterprise customer contracts
• Drive automation of accounting processes, monthly reconciliations, and workflows to build a scalable, efficient function and strengthen controls
