About the role

  • Define and drive the strategic direction of the Business Intelligence function across the organization.
  • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing BI team, including BI Managers and data specialists.
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team and business leaders to translate organizational goals into measurable data insights and KPIs.
  • Oversee development and execution of data infrastructure, including architecture, data governance, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and secure data access for all decision-makers through scalable dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
  • Drive continuous innovation in BI practices, including advanced analytics, AI/ML integration, and automation.
  • Lead cross-functional data initiatives such as forecasting, revenue and cost analysis, customer segmentation, and product performance evaluation.
  • Maintain and evolve the company’s BI tools and platforms to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Promote a culture of data literacy and ethical use of data throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CBIP, CISA, PMP, Six Sigma, INSEAD) strongly preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Strategy roles.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role managing managers or leading company-wide data functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling BI functions in a tech or financial services environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence at C-level.
  • Expertise in BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik) and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Strong grasp of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Deep analytical thinking with a strategic mindset—able to balance business intuition with data rigor.
  • Experience in building data governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a business-friendly way.
  • Agile, collaborative, and results-oriented; capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
