About the role
- Drive the development and execution of our sourcing strategy from RFI / RFP creation, leading supplier negotiations, global stakeholder management to business award and Master Agreement implementation.
- Serve as department lead on COST and SERVICE improvement initiatives working closely with each sourcing and purchasing associate, as well as cross-functional teams.
- Successfully lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives with key strategic suppliers in support of Business Transformation goals: cost savings, lead-time and minimum order quantity reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved processes, etc.
- Lead, manage, and influence projects to successful completion. (ie Supplier transitions, Cost reduction initiatives).
- Identify and execute risk mitigation and security of supply strategies that will prevent disruption of critical supply.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Logistics preferred
- Minimum 5 years in Sourcing in Personal Care, Pharmaceutical industry or Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred
- Experience w/ managing RFI /RFP workflow through to Supplier Business award and Contract Negotiation required
- Knowledge and understanding of cost drivers and ability to apply within negotiations, development of strategies and embarking upon cost improvement opportunities
- Ability to travel approx. 20-30% with overnight stay.
