About the role

  • Change management lead role for Applications.
  • Support manufacturing processes, program changes, EWO, ER, and many changes within Applications group.
  • Assist in all phases of customer current and future programs/projects.
  • Facilitate internal communications between Engineering, Sales, Quality, Warranty, Manufacturing and Assembly for specific programs/projects.
  • Champion Engineering change requests and submit PPCRs & deviations as required.
  • Facilitate the implementation of design changes, cost savings and new model launches at customers.
  • Work within the customer systems to update and release drawings, models, BOMs, and specifications for Dana products.
  • Create customer ECNs.
  • Perform Dana product application analysis for customer vehicles.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of customer assembly plant build issues and assist with resolution of field, warranty, and quality issues.
  • Onsite support of special Driveshaft builds as well as coordination of special orders.
  • Support Advanced Program Quality Planning activities as Dana engineering representative.
  • Develop and gain customer approvals for cost savings proposals.
  • Attend/facilitate/host customer engineering meetings and help bring open items to closure.
  • Provide product specific expertise in support of the customer's requirements.
  • Engage and integrate as part of the customer engineering community, representing Dana.
  • Represent Dana in a positive, customer-centric, ethical, and professional manner.
  • When appropriate, participate in internal engineering reviews and meetings.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for Dana to work with customer on new or emerging products or programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 1+ years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
  • Experience in drivetrain/powertrain/chassis engineering or related field is a plus.
  • Must know, work and complete basic tasks within Teamcenter.
  • Basic CAD skills.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be a self-directed and self-motivated individual who is willing to accept responsibility.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Understand Dana PPAP process and Quality APQP.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
