About the role
- Address supplier quality rejects and customer returned material that is supplier related.
- Application of statistical techniques and assistance to others as required.
- Track progress of Advanced Quality Planning activities.
- Monitor and help control supplier scrap, including pareto and corrective action analysis.
- Monitor, analyze and report on supplier key indicators and associated improvement action plans.
- Assist in supplier development as required.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor Supplier CQI activities to ensure yearly requirements are met.
- Conduct supplier visits and reviews if asked.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain RMA numbers.
- Complete supplier chargebacks (debit memos) in SAP.
- Enter Supplier NCMR in Live Source and following the nonconformance through to closure.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in Engineering, preferably in Quality, Industrial or Mechanical engineering with 5-10 years’ experience required.
- Experience with FMEA, Process Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
- Solid manufacturing background including manufacturing, finance, and engineering.
- Proficient in the understanding of Engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of APQP and program management techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong project management skills and leadership abilities.
- Assertive and initiative-taking.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities.
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated competence in Quality related statistics.
- Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
- Certified Quality Auditor for IATF-16949 preferred.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, with experience in the automotive industry preferred.
- CMM experience preferred
