About the role

  • - Lead full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for U.S.-based roles, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • - Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR best practices, performance management, coaching, and workforce planning.
  • - Support employee relations, conduct investigations when needed, and manage all steps of the termination process.
  • - Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • - Prepare HR documentation, including employment agreements, policy letters, and other HR‑related communications.
  • - Administer employee benefits programs (health, retirement, etc.) and support employees with benefit‑related questions.
  • - Oversee ACA compliance, including annual reporting and required submissions.
  • - Contribute to health & safety initiatives and support internal audits to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • - Work closely with teams in the U.S., while collaborating with HR leaders at our Canadian headquarters.

Requirements

  • - 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • - Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
  • - SHRM certification (preferred).
  • - Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • - Experience with ADP Workforce Now (a plus).
  • - Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
  • - Ability to work independently and support multiple U.S. locations.
