About the role
- - Lead full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for U.S.-based roles, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- - Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR best practices, performance management, coaching, and workforce planning.
- - Support employee relations, conduct investigations when needed, and manage all steps of the termination process.
- - Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
- - Prepare HR documentation, including employment agreements, policy letters, and other HR‑related communications.
- - Administer employee benefits programs (health, retirement, etc.) and support employees with benefit‑related questions.
- - Oversee ACA compliance, including annual reporting and required submissions.
- - Contribute to health & safety initiatives and support internal audits to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- - Work closely with teams in the U.S., while collaborating with HR leaders at our Canadian headquarters.
Requirements
- - 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
- - Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
- - SHRM certification (preferred).
- - Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
- - Experience with ADP Workforce Now (a plus).
- - Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
- - Ability to work independently and support multiple U.S. locations.
