About the role
- Support the global development of one of our new Daimler Truck HMI ECUs (Instrument Cluster) for all relevant vehicle projects globally
- Develop and document feature and technical concepts while focusing on Regulatory requirements (e.g. country certification)
- Diagnostics requirements
- Functional safety requirements
- Technical limitations
- Support alignment with global, internal and external partners and stakeholders (e.g. feature owners, implementation teams, supplier, projects)
- Review and control issue inflow submitted by all global test instances (e.g. vehicle testing)
- Support with pre-analysis of defects
- Set and enforce software quality standards together with the software architects
- Develop a holistic testing strategy for the component and align it with the development teams, HiL and vehicle testing teams
- Support on-truck and test bench testing
- Develop, build and maintain test benches and write test cases
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicles and their functionalities
- Strong background in ECU development and testing incl. processes, methodologies, and tools
- Proficient with tools such as Vector suite, Monaco, DiagnosticLink, Jira, Confluence, ecu.test
- Expertise in project management
- Experience with automotive development processes, preferably with Daimler Truck
- Understanding of engineering processes and downstream impacts
- Strong skills in communication and team coordination across global teams (considering different cultural backgrounds) especially with the US, Germany, and India
- Analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, reliable, pro-active and self-motivated
- Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
