About the role

  • Proactively identify and define the most effective way to generate the system documentation requirements from PAR projects scope.
  • Create, maintain, interpret, and effectively communicate the logic of compatibility rules stored the in IMS database to our cross-functional partners at DTNA.
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Validation, Compliance, Customer Application Engineering, Product Strategy, Product Data Systems, Launch and Change Management, and Project Management to ensure project serials and compatibility logic are in alignment with project expectations and testing needs.
  • Work with Project Management, Product Validation, and Sales & Marketing to create and update orders in the sales systems (VOP) and mainframe (IMACS) to meet the needs of the PAR project.
  • Perform Engineering order translations on project specs and process necessary spec / ECF updates to ensure correct data codes & content, and resolve any frame layout conflicts through communication with EPM & PS.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of spec gen analysis and follow-up with project teams to achieve project spec generation targets.
  • Provide vehicle documentation expertise to project teams to ensure system documentation targets are achieved.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement projects, improved metrics and reports related to PAR projects from a VCM perspective.
  • Lead in developing procedures and policies to build Compatibility and Order processing effectiveness.
  • Work with IT and internal developers in creating new tools to enhance the team’s accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide classroom-based instruction for engineers on the function and application of compatibility rules.
  • Develop expertise outside of your immediate knowledge to improve project support capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar with 5+ years of related experience, OR an Associate’s degree 8+ years experience, is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Effective collaboration and networking skills
  • Adaptable to a variable customer service oriented work environment fielding dozens of customer requests per day
  • Thrives on getting the details right, accuracy, & precision
  • Sales Order Processing & Databook, Engineering & Manufacturing Release, Product Definition, and Vehicle Spec experience
  • 5+ years of IMACS application experience (both Sales & Engineering screens)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, OneNote, and Wiki
  • Strong truck product knowledge and documentation methods
  • Strong Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Experience with full cycle product development at DTNA (PAR projects)
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to prepare and provide instructional materials in a classroom setting
  • Experience creating custom macros, internal tools, and automated solutions to streamline data processes
  • Strong aptitude for logic‑based programming, debugging, and software development across multiple languages, including VBA
  • Ability to identify root cause of issues, find solutions and implement solutions quickly across all organizational boundaries
  • Proven experience in working independently, initiate work proactively, and obtain successful results.
