About the role
- Senior member and technical leader of Site Reliability Engineering team
- Own challenging problems and contribute to team's architecture & designs
- Lead development and be an advocate for operational and engineering excellence
- Provide solutions and tooling to product development teams to enable monitoring and system improvements
- Provide advice and support to product development teams
- Mentor and guide junior SREs as they develop their skills
Requirements
- 5+ years experience designing, developing and scaling complex services.
- Strong coding skills (ideally in Go, but any modern language will do if you are willing to learn Go).
- Ability to write well-structured, easily maintainable and well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering software projects.
- An interest in operational and engineering excellence
- Experience with observability and monitoring (preferred but not essential)
- This is a hybrid role based in Belfast N.Ireland. Are you located in N. Ireland or willing to relocate? (implies willingness to relocate or local presence)
