About the role

  • Develop and execute market strategies and sales growth plans for assigned and/or new accounts.
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with various levels of customer organizations.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of, and actively promote, Viking Electric’s services, solutions, and product offerings.
  • Negotiate with customers and vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules, enhance profitability.
  • Secure SPA commitments from vendor partners and implement price rules.
  • Utilize available sales resources to quote material, enter sales orders, and manage returns.
  • Collaborate with product specialists to ensure the customer is receiving information and services needed in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary education preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of business-to-business sales preferably in the electrical industry or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Electric products and Viking Electric services and solutions.
  • Good understanding of the market and competitors and basic financial skills.
  • Must have effective communication and negotiating skills.
  • Strong selling, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new technology.
