About the role
- Develop and execute market strategies and sales growth plans for assigned and/or new accounts.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with various levels of customer organizations.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of, and actively promote, Viking Electric’s services, solutions, and product offerings.
- Negotiate with customers and vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules, enhance profitability.
- Secure SPA commitments from vendor partners and implement price rules.
- Utilize available sales resources to quote material, enter sales orders, and manage returns.
- Collaborate with product specialists to ensure the customer is receiving information and services needed in a timely fashion.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; post-secondary education preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of business-to-business sales preferably in the electrical industry or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of Electric products and Viking Electric services and solutions.
- Good understanding of the market and competitors and basic financial skills.
- Must have effective communication and negotiating skills.
- Strong selling, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new technology.
