About the role
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial automation market.
- Collaborate with account managers to identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and present technical solutions to customers.
- Design and recommend automation solutions, including PLCs, drives, motion control, robotics, and industrial networking.
- Analyze customer processes, provide guidance and assist with product selection, application design, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with vendors, integrators, and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and commissioning.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for customers and internal staff.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years in industrial automation sales or engineering; experience with end-users, OEMs and system integrators preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, VFDs, motion control, and industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
