About the role
- Lead and develop a team of 3–20 operations associates and managers, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee all day-to-day location operations—productivity, workflow, staffing, inventory, fleet, and customer service levels
- Ensure a safe working environment through compliance, training, and reinforcement of Viking Electric policies
- Partner across Sales, HR, and Corporate Supply Chain to support a consistent, innovative, and customer-focused operations model
- Improve quality and efficiency through strong processes in service, inventory control, business systems, and loss prevention
- Manage facilities, equipment, assets, and operational services in collaboration with corporate resources
- Own operational KPIs and the annual operating expense budget
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or distribution
- 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of warehouse processes, equipment, and DOT rules and regulations (or willingness to learn)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and guide teams through change
- Excellent organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and customer-service skills
- Comfort working cross-functionally and enforcing policies and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs., bending, standing, and operating material-handling equipment
